Fluffy nougat-curd dumplings

Zutaten

  • 250 g curd 10% fat
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 egg
  • 60 g flour
  • 60 g wheat semolina
  • 8 g vanilla sugar
  • 1 tbs icing sugar
  • 100 g nougat or chocolate balls

Für die Nussbrösel

  • 80 g butter
  • 150 g grated hazelnuts
  • 50 g coconut sugar
  • some icing sugar

Anleitungen

  • Whisk butter, sugar and egg in a bowl until smooth. Then add curd, flour and semolina slowly and stir in well. Let the curd dough rest in the fridge for one hour.
  • To form the dumplings, first moisten your hands with water and flour the work surface. Take a portion of dough in one hand, place the chocolate ball or some nougat in the middle and form it into a dumpling.
  • Cook for 20 minutes in the steamer. Optionally, bring water to the boil in a pot and let the dumplings simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, prepare the nut crumbs. Melt the butter in a pan. Add the hazelnuts with coconut blossom sugar and roast. Roll the cooked dumplings in the crumbs and garnish with icing sugar.
