Orange Berry Punch with honey

  • 700 ml berry juice of choice f.e. blueberry/ cranberry/ black currant juice/...
  • 200 ml fresh squeezed orange juice
  • 4 cinnamon sticks
  • 1 tbs cloves
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 1 small ginger root, cut in half
  • 1 organic orange, untreated
  • 1 dash of lemon juice
  • ca. 2-3 tbs honey/ or amount of choice
  • 150 g frozen berries

Alcohol version (optional)

  • 1 good dash of rum


  • more cinnamon sticks
  • more star anise
  • rosemary twigs


  • Fill berries and orange juice into a large pot. Now add all spices from the ingredients list. Wash and cut the orange into quarters and add it as well. Add some lemon juice and honey and let it boil up briefly. Then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
    Optional: For a more intense spicy taste, prepare the punch the day before and let it soak with the spices over night. Then bring to the boil in the pot the next day as described above.
  • After the spices are well infused, pour the punch through a sieve and filter out all the spices. If the punch is not yet sweet enough for your taste, sweeten it more with honey. Add a good shot of rum for the alcohol version (optional). Add frozen berries and let everything boil up again briefly in the pot until the berries have defrosted. Serve hot with cinnamon stick, rosemary twig and star anise as decoration.
