Whisk butter, 1 tbs icing sugar and egg in a bowl until smooth. Then add curd, flour and semolina slowly and stir in well. Let the curd dough rest in the fridge for one hour.
To form the dumplings, first moisten your hands with water and flour the work surface. Take a portion of dough in one hand, place the apricots in the middle and form it into a dumpling.
Cook for 20 minutes in the steamer. Optionally, bring water to the boil in a pot and let the dumplings simmer for 10 minutes.
Meanwhile, prepare the crumbs. Melt the butter in a pan. Add the breadcrumbs and hazelnuts with the desired amount of icing sugar and roast. Roll the cooked dumplings in the crumbs and garnish with icing sugar.
